AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria convened a high-level meeting with State Coordinators and Commissioners of Agriculture from the seven pilot states to drive the sustainability of the Smallholder Farmers Initiative.

The interactive session focused on enhancing food security, boosting rural livelihoods, and ensuring effective implementation of the initiative. AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria National Coordinator/CEO Hon. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to implementing strict monitoring mechanisms to ensure transparency and measurable impact, thereby justifying the funding of the program by AUDA-NEPAD Continental through a dedicated grant.

Key discussions centered on state-level responsibilities, innovative solutions, and collaborative efforts to address the challenges affecting the smallholder farmers. 

The meeting concluded with a strong commitment from all stakeholders to ensure the initiative’s success, positioning it as a catalyst for agricultural transformation and economic growth in Nigeria
